Storm Action

The boys played football on Saturday at Riley.  We experienced a very scary looking storm that developed during the games.

This was the beginning.  Lots of lightning and dark clouds.

Then the clouds began to look like this.  It was cold and very windy!

I would say it was one of the strangest storms I have been in!!

It finally blew through, and after a one hour delay, the games resumed.  What a day!  It started the morning with very cold and windy weather.  Then sideways rain in a downpour.  Then sun out, and humid.  Only in Kansas!

Tearney Has Bling!

Tearney decided she wanted to join Makenna a couple of weeks ago and get her ears pierced.  She was cautiously excited, and when we arrived, she assured me she was ready to go.  She hopped up in the chair, and was good to go...all the way up to the point where the girls put the earring gun by her ears.  Then, notsomuch.

After about 4 times of the girls attempting to place the earrings by her ears, and her moving her head away, I ended up sitting in the chair, and holding her in my lap.  I convinced her it was not going to be that bad.  So, when she was distracted, they went for it.  After all the drama, she said, "Well, that wasn't that bad!"

She now has a pretty blingy pair of earrings, and she can't WAIT to change them out!

Volleyball Has Begun.

Rec Volleyball began today.  Both Makenna and Tearney are playing this year, and they seem to enjoy it.  They are on the same team, so that is a bonus for us!

Jentree's Big Day!

Jentree had her very first day of preschool a couple of weeks ago.  She was SO excited to get to go.  For the three weeks leading up to her big day, she would ask, "Is it time to go to school today?"  Every day, I would have to tell her "no," and she would get pretty upset with me.  On the rest of the kids' first day of school, she just didn't understand why she didn't get to go.  So, the very next day, she was busting with excitement!

It was a far cry from one year ago when she wanted NOTHING to do with going to school!!!  She had her new clothes, new shoes and new backpack!  It was her day!!

I was able to take her and pick her up that day.  She was beaming!
